Family Bible 

Client wished to have a family Bible restored. The Bible had multiple splits in the textblock and was missing its back cover.  The decision was made to restore the contents and create a new goatskin leather binding with simple tooling accents. Betty Crocker Cookbook

Client wished to restore her mother’s cookbook so that it would be preserved for future generations of her family. The spine was nearly detached, joints and inner hinges broken. The spine was repaired with new cloth and original spine piece. Damaged pages were mended with tissue. Hinges were reinforced from the inside. Fraying cloth was consolidated.

Scrapbook

Client wished to have scrapbook of Peace Corps memorabilia preserved. The scrapbook contained brittle pages with tears throughout. The album contained both loose and attached materials. Pamphlet exhibited evidence of being folded into fourths for an extended period of time.  Weakened paper had become severed at the folds. This pamphlet was to be prepared for exhibition. Debates between the Hon. Abraham Lincoln and the Hon. Stephen A. Douglas 

The cloth binding of this volume was split at the joints and exhibited spine damage and loss.  The textblock was intact and in good condition. Custom-colored linen was used to repair the spine. The original spine was re-attached; and fraying corners were consolidated.
